The food was fresh and delicious. I’ve had a salad with grilled scallops on one occasion; a fried fish sandwich on another. The beer is cold and the staff warm & friendly. It’s my go to restaurant when I am in Duxbury.

A small space with a lot going for it. We had the crab rangoon appetizer and the oysterman cheeseburger. The presentation of the food was beautiful, everything looked and tasted so fresh. The service was also wonderful, a great place all around.

Oh my, it was divine. I had the Oysterman egg rolls and I was almost too stuffed to eat my dinner, I had the risotto with bacon and scallops. I had lunch for the next day, still great heated up. Can not wait to go back and try other items. My husband had the cheeseburger and it was HUGE.

Took my wife out for her birthday here...it was great. She got a burger and fries which she said was very good. She was especially impressed with the fries, cut and seasoned perfectly. I ordered the "plover" sandwich. It was the best chicken sandwich I have ever had. The piece was huge and was so moist on the inside but crunchy on the outside. Perfect amount of mayo and pickles. Skip Chick-fil-A and just come here instead.

My wife and I were passing through and hungry and this popped up on our radar. Small place, but cozy enough. It was full but we got a couple of seats at the long counter, tall chairs. The waiter and waitresses were busy, but very polite and attentive. Our waitress greeted us with a smile and got our drinks right away, including water. We started with clam chowder, which came out quickly and hot. The chowder was perfect, not too much flour, perfect consistency, lots of clams and potatoes, topped with some chopped parsley when presented. Very tasty. We opted for the beer battered cod sandwich which came with truffle fries suggested by the waitress. Perfectly cooked cod, beer batter with just the right amount of crunch, and on a brioche bun with lettuce and a dollop of tartar sauce on top and bottom. Excellent! The truffle fries were a wonderful suggestion and when she came back to check on us, she offered rosemary mayonnaise for dipping and came back with some. Wow, that's the stuff right there! Really good. Overall, it was a super busy place, but we didn't mind it because the staff looked like they were having fun, they smiled and treated the many people coming in for take out courteously and promptly. The young man handling the hungry patrons was a real pro and I was very impressed with his positive attitude. Obviously, a very popular place. We got a bonus when the whole place sang happy birthday to a cute little girl that was there with her family. The bunch of rowdy guys at the bar really belted it out and the whole place erupted in applause. Having been in retail for over 35 years, I know when I see something good and this place is a gem. Great food, great staff, win win. Well done!

Had planned on going to the Oyster Man, the other restaurant located 500 yards away owned by the same people but ended up here and were pleasently surprised. Only wanted to get a small so we split a beet salad and grilled chicken sandwich and both were amazing. I got the olde fashioned on the menu with home made ginger simple and walnut bitters and it was amazing. Definitely will be going back never time we're in the area and will try out their other restaurant too.

I stopped in The Anchor last night for the Buffalo Shrimp, and it's one of the best fried shrimp I've had! I couldn't decide between the chicken gumbo or their frickles, Samantha was definitely a huge help with this, I ended up getting the Frickles and they didn't disappoint.

I really liked this small restaurant, we were at a nearby restaurant and saw some of the reviews here so came to check it out, was not disappointed! We got the Buffalo cauliflower, very good! The highlight, the chicken sandwich, oh man this this was huge. It was a good thing we were splitting it cause it was probably the biggest chicken sandwich I have ever had, and really really tasty. You should definitely check this place out!

Small eatery with ample seating including outdoor seating with a new American selection with seafood staples and festive drinks. Staff was very friendly and easy going looking to accommodate anyway they could. Happy eating!
